Q Whether this college is Private or Government?

This college is a constituent College of Maulana Azad National Urdu University which is a central University established by an act of Parliament 1998. It is centrally funded institution running under MHRD Government of India.

Q How to get admission in this college?

The University notifies in its prospectus the eligibility conditions for the admissions for B.Ed., M.Ed. and Ph.D programme. The prospective students have to fill online form for admission in the University or in the constituent satellite campuses including Bhopal. After the submission of online form University conducts common entrance exam for B.Ed., M.Ed and Ph.D(Education) separately at the designated centre’s in the first week of June in different cities of India. The merit list of qualified candidates (rank wise) is displayed on the University website for beginning of counseling process. In order of merit (rank wise) candidates are called for program wise online counseling either at University campus or satellite campus offering the programme. Counseling at University as well as in other satellite campuses is done simultaneously through online system. Candidates have to report at the counseling centre and get their documents verified as mentioned in list. Once the document is verified, students are registered online with the option of choosing the campus (main or satellite) as per the seats availability. In case of Ph.D programme interview is held at main campus before allocating the students to satellite campus.

Q When does admission in the College?

Usually every year university notified in its website and in leading national papers for the admission process in the month of March and April. Common entrance examination held in the first week of June. Counseling for allotment of seats is done online and takes place in the first week of July.

Q What is the minimum eligibility condition for B.Ed Programme?

The Candidates with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in B.A/B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/ B.Com from any recognized University or institution. Q What are the eligibility conditions for Ph.D(Education) Programme?

Candidate with a minimum of 55% marks in M.Ed. / M.A. (Education) with B.Ed. / MPhil (Education) from a recognized University or institution and eligibility criteria prescribed in the general guidelines for research. Q What is the annual intake of B.Ed; M.Ed and Ph.D programme?

Total number of seats is 100 in B.Ed, 50 in M.Ed and 4 in Ph.D programme. Rules for reservation of seats in admission are applicable as per Government of India.

Q Is attendance compulsory in all the programmes ?

For B.Ed and M.Ed minimum attendance for theory class is 80% and above whereas for practical classes it is 90% and above. In all students will be eligible if and if only he/she has total attendance over and above 80%. Since Ph.D(Education) is offered both part time and full time therefore, attendance is as what mentioned in the Ph.D Ordinance.

Q Is the degree recognized for teaching jobs?

Programmes of B.Ed and M.Ed are recognized by NCTE, WRC (please see the letter of recognition in Home page). Therefore, degree is very much valid for government jobs in teaching positions.
