Prof. Mohd. Zafaruddin took charge as Director of Centre for Urdu Culture Studies
(CUCS) on 15th May, 2019. He is a Ph. D. in Urdu from University of Delhi and has
vast experience in Teaching and Research. He has also been associated with
Journalism and Public Relations. He has completed a major research project in
Journalism awarded by UGC. Prof. Mohd. Zafaruddin as HoD, Translation was
granted Rs. 42 Lakhs with two teaching positions under Innovative Programme of
University Grants Commission in February 2007. Beside Urdu literature, his area of
interest includes Mass Communication & Journalism and Translation.
