Institution’s Contributions in the Field of Teacher Education
- At present, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, College of Teacher Education (CTE), Asansol is only one College in West Bengal State, which is providing B.Ed. (Regular) programme through Urdu medium.
- Maulana Azad National Urdu University, College of Teacher Education (CTE), Asansol is helping to achieve the objective of equality in teacher education.
- The students who have obtained B.Ed. degrees are getting jobs in different schools of different states and helping to educate the new generations of Nation.
- The faculty members of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, College of Teacher Education (CTE), Asansol have developed different modules and published Books on different subjects/themes/papers as per NCTE new Two-Years B.Ed. (Regular) curriculum in Urdu medium as well as in Hindi and English medium.
Students Achievement and Contribution
Since the establishment of the college, many students of this college have successfully placed in various government schools of West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Orissa by clearing the competitive examination of the various state boards and commissions. Many of them have succeeded in getting admission in the Department of education and its allied disciplines in some of the reputed universities of the country like Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi University (DU), Hyderabad University (HU), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), Central University of Punjab, Dr. H. S. G. University. As the Teacher Eligibility Test is mandatory for teaching jobs in schools for the last few years, almost 50% of our students in all have cleared the CTET / STET, Most of them has cleared JRF/NET too and most of them has got the teaching Job at different states.

Prof. (Dr.) Noushad Husain

Prof. (Dr.) Noushad Husain joined Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) as a Reader of Education on 26th December, 2008 and posted at MANUU – CTE, Bhopal (M.P.). After that, he was promoted and became Associate Professor of Education on 26th December, 2011. He was transferred from MANUU – CTE, Bhopal to MANUU – CTE, Asansol and joined this college as an Associate Professor of Education on 22nd May, 2014. He became Professor of Education on 26th December, 2014. Presently, he is working as a Principal and Professor in this college. Prior to the MANUU, he served his services as faculty member in various Institutions. He also worked on various Administrative Post at various Institutions. He is a member of Academic Council of MANUU. He is also a member of Centralized Visiting Team (VT) of NCTE. He has authored various Textbooks as well as reference Books. His numerous Articles & research papers has been published in various National and International Journals. He is a member of Editorial Board of various National and International Journals.
Mr. Syed Tauquir Imam

Mr. Syed Tauquir Imam is working as an Assistant Professor of Education in this college from 03rd March, 2007. His total experience of teaching and research is more than 10 years. He is the Programme Centre Co-ordinator of B.Ed. (Distance Mode) Programme of MANUU. In many occasions, he got the chance to be the In-charge Principal of the College. He has published numbers of research papers and Articles in various National & International Journals. He has presented many papers in national and international Seminars & conferences too. Besides an Assistant Professor, he is an Academic Co-ordinator of MANUU – CTE, Asansol.

Dr. Md. Mahmood Alam joined Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) as an Assistant Professor of Education on 12 th March, 2007 and posted at Department of Education & Training, MANUU Hyderabad. Then, he worked as an Assistant Professor at MANUU-CTE, Sambhal (U.P.) He was transferred from MANUU–CTE, Sambhal and joined MANUU-CTE, Asansol as an Assistant Professor of Education on 16 th July, 2018. Prior to the MANUU, he served his services as faculty member in various Institutions. He has published number of research papers and Articles in various National & International Journals. He also presented many papers in National and International Seminar & conferences.

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Meena joined Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) as an Assistant Professor of Education on 08th February, 2012 and posted at Department of Education & Training, MANUU Hyderabad. He was transferred from MANUU, Hyderabad to MANUU – CTE, Asansol and joined this college as an Assistant Professor of Education on 26th September, 2014. He has published numbers of research papers and Articles in various National & International Journals. He has presented many papers in national and international Seminar & conferences too.

He was transferred from MANUU, Hyderabad to MANUU – CTE, Asansol and joined this college as an Assistant Professor of Education on 29th May, 2014.
