The UGC Academic Staff College has so far organised 37 Orientation Programmes,83 Refresher Courses,29, Professional Development Programmes and 12 workshops for Educational Administrators, Principals and non-teaching staff.
The team visited Academic Staff College MANUU on 6th Feb.2012 to 8th Feb, 2012 to validate the self assessment report prepared by the ASC, MANUU and also to interact the various stake holders including, Staff, Resource persons, Principals , Course co-coordinators and also the participants of the previous programmes.
After the review of National Assessment & Accreditation Council, the ASC MANUU achieved 11th Position out of 66 Academic Staff Colleges of India.
The prime objective of the HRDC’s as envisaged in Guidelines is to provide a platform for the teachers for professional development and their sensitization to quality of higher education and socio-economic and national development issues. Our HRDC programmes are aligned with these objectives, with an objective to ensure that teachers are updated in terms of latest knowledge in the subject, socio- economic and national development issues; new teaching and research methods.
